Arthur Kvarnstrom is primarily a landscape painter whose work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States, including Trahern Gallery at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville Tennessee and the Noyes Museum in Oceanville, NJ. In New York his paintings have been exhibited in solo shows at the Prince Street Gallery where he has been a member for ten years. New York group exhibitions include the George Billis Gallery and the Kouros Gallery. Recently he was awarded an artist's residency by the Heliker-LaHotan Foundation on Cranberry Island in Maine. He has an MFA from Kent State and a BFA from the University of Arizona. He also studied drawing at the Art Student’s League. He currently lives in Manhattan and has a studio in Long Island City. There are two solos shows planned in the future. The first is at Fairleigh Dickinson University, in Teaneck, NJ. It is scheduled for January 2008. The second is at Kingsborough Community College, 2001 Oriental Boulevard, Brooklyn, NY. It is scheduled for October 28 - November 28 2007.
