Gallery Representation and Membership Opportunity
Prince Street Gallery is currently accepting applications for new members. We are a contemporary co-operative art space located in the Chelsea Gallery District of NYC.
Prince Street Gallery Membership Information
Prince Street Gallery is governed and run entirely by its members. Each artist member can expect a solo exhibition approximately once every three years, along with additional group exhibition opportunities. The gallery takes no commission on sales—all proceeds go directly to the artist. Membership also offers the chance to join a dedicated community of artists that extends beyond PSG itself.
Our gallery shares a floor with several distinguished cooperative galleries, including The Painting Center, First Street Gallery, and Bowery Gallery. Openings are often coordinated with our neighbors, creating opportunities to connect with a wide network of contemporary NYC-based artists and art professionals.
Membership Requirements
- Monthly dues and a one-time initiation fee
- Gallery sitting approximately once every six weeks
- A gallery job tailored to each member’s skills and interests
Fee Schedule
- Monthly dues: $200
- One-time initiation fee: $500
- Artsy participation: Required. The annual Artsy fee is divided equally among members and currently ranges from $127–$144 per year. Prince Street Gallery votes annually on maintaining this service.
How to Apply
- Applications are accepted through Slideroom.
- There is a $30 application processing fee. Applications are first reviewed by the membership. If a majority vote is reached, applicants will be invited to participate in a studio visit or bring work to the gallery for further review and a final membership vote.
- As an artist-run space, we prioritize applicants based in New York City or nearby regions.
