Prince Street Gallery is pleased to present recent work by Jessie Fisher and Scott Seebart which draws upon both artist’s devotion to painting from observation, its possibilities, rigor, and intimacy.

This is the couple’s first 2-person exhibition at the gallery featuring paintings in oil and flashe on hand-prepared linen grounds. Long-wrought surfaces showcase Seebart’s expansive library of still-life objects arranged as tabletop apotheosis. Fisher’s portraits, a series of surrogates and doppelgängers, include models, masks, and effigies, sculpted by and of the artist herself.
