I began this woodblock by spending time on a sheep farm with rams, followed by cutting the block in my studio, and pulling the print a month later.
This woodblock print was a commission for a sheep farmer in Orange County, NY.

The timely “Darkness and Light” is a dramatic handling of an interior-exterior space, the dualities in life, and hope during a particularly dark period of American politics. Also minus the symbolic reading, it is a strong geometric composition that packs a wallop.

Painting the natural environment and pursuing its infinite possibilities of character and expression in various mediums is my focus. “Approaching Front” began with a beach walk encounter with impressive clouds creating an enormous low to the ground arc. Blazing light emphasized the drama play of this vision worth remembering.

Being surrounded by woods, lakes and rocky landscapes has made me aware of the importance of protecting and living in harmony with our environment.
I created this image of a Fallen soldier during the Iraq War as a reaction to great loss caused by war and our involvement in the war.
It represents man’s ultimate connection to the earth.

My work is an exploration of surface, distinctive in its execution. Positioned firmly in the realm of representation, I imagine a fusion between the narrative and abstraction.
This work is an exploration of the idea of the wallflower. An individual hidden, not reaching full potential, but its beauty lies just beneath the surface.

The source of this image is the view from a train, traveling through the open space between the suburbs and the city. It is a view I have not seen in person since the beginning of the pandemic.
