Bio
“My choice of subject matter is usually determined by an emotional response to color relationships, patterns in nature, or a particular space that I may or may not understand. I work slowly, with lots of questioning and reworking, often over a period of several years. I am fascinated by implied enclosures of space, whether organic and evolving, or stage-like, structures that suggest balance and order.” — Rosemary Hamilton
Rosemary Hamilton, 70, of Norristown, died peacefully at Chestnut Hill Hospital on April 16, after a short battle with cancer. Ms. Hamilton, raised in Alabama and Freehold, NJ, was both an accomplished artist and a beloved teacher in the Colonial School District. A graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, Rosemary was a member of the Prince Street Gallery in NYC. Her work was shown in more than 25 exhibitions in a wide variety of galleries and she was the subject of numerous magazine and newspaper articles. – See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/timesherald/obituary.aspx?pid=157375048#sthash.PkTrMx8E.dpuf
